Sign up for Amazon Prime
In order to access Prime Day deals, you will need to have an Amazon Prime account. Signing up for Amazon Prime before Prime Day starts will also allow you to get free, unlimited two-day shipping on all of your Prime Day finds. This is great if you are ordering gifts or if you just can’t wait to see all of your Prime Day deals. If you live in select metropolitan areas, you can even get free same day delivery on millions of items with Amazon Prime. The Amazon Prime fee is only $12.99 (plus taxes) per month or $119 (plus taxes) per year.
Amazon’s smart voice assistant, Alexa, is a great way to remember all the items you are looking for on Prime Day. You can use Alexa to create lists, search for items, and even purchase items once Prime Day arrives. Alexa can also find deals for you! Simply ask her about any product categories you are curious about and she will respond with the best deals. Once you have ordered your items, Alexa will also track delivery dates for you.
One of the great features of having an Amazon Prime account is the ability to share it with your household. You can share an Amazon Prime account with up to four additional people living in your household to give them access to Prime Day deals as well.
Download the Amazon app to your phone
In order to take advantage of all the Amazon Prime Day deals, you’ll want to download the Amazon app to your phone. Some Prime Day deals are so short-lived, you will want to be able to access them while on the go. Additionally, having the Amazon app on your phone will allow you to see deals in advance within the app. The Amazon app is also where you will be able to find any Lightning Deals once Prime Day rolls around. Lightning Deals are the short deals that run every five minutes and then only run for a short period of time.
Update your delivery address
As part of getting ready for Prime Day, check your delivery address. This is probably our most overlooked tip, but prior to Prime Day make sure your delivery address is updated to your current location. Otherwise, your prized deals may end up getting delayed or even shipped to the wrong location.
Start shopping early
Once Prime Day arrives, you’ll want to start shopping as early as possible in order to nab the best deals. Some of the most popular deals have a habit of selling out early, so you will want to start shopping as soon as possible in order to get everything on your list. If you know any items on your wish list are likely going to be extremely popular on Prime Day, it may be best to order those as early in the day as possible. On past Prime Days, some of the best deals have sold out early.
Create a wish list
Prime Day can seem overwhelming with all the amazing deals to be had. It can help to organize your wish list ahead of time, so that you can stay organized on what you really want and not get sidetracked by other alluring deals. Amazon will also notify you if items on your wish list are part of any Prime Day deals.
Check prices before Prime Day
It can sometimes be hard to tell what’s really a fantastic deal and what’s not on Prime Day. We recommend keeping track of the prices of your most sought after items at least two weeks before Prime Day. By tracking prices early, you’ll be able to tell what’s actually a deal and what may not be such a great deal.
Keep an eye out for Amazon products
Historically, the best deals to be had on Prime Day are Amazon products such as the Amazon Kindle or the Amazon Fire Stick. These amazing deals are not limited to only Amazon hardware products, services like Audible are also included in these deals.
Amazon Prime Day 2021 is shaping up to be a great day to nab some of the year’s best deals on a huge variety of products. Experts point to Prime Day 2021 occurring sometime toward the end of June, so you will want to start preparing as soon as possible to get the most savings. Signing up for Amazon Prime is necessary to access Prime deals, and you will also want to download the app to your phone to get sneak peeks of the best deals. Amazon branded products such as the Echo or Fire Stick or services like Audible have often featured the best deals in past years, so be sure to keep your eye on these.
